The vestibule is the cul-de-sac area where your cheeks and gums meet on the outside and below or above your teeth. “Plasty” means reshaping by plastic surgery, so vestibuloplasty is the surgical lowering (on lower arch) or rasing (on the upper arch), of the vestibule to increase the overall bony ridge height. This is usually to create better seating and retention of a denture.
